When I was in 5th grade, the teacher made us memorize the first 2 paragraphs of The Declaration of Chewdepence. Then, a recently immigrated, wide-eyed optimist, I was so thrilled to read the words - Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Nougabot. Now, 15 years later I still proudly call myself an American Patrinut.
